Cleansing & Moisturising
Olive & laurel oil gently remove impurities without stripping away any vital lipids or flora.
This soap begins life at our own pesticide-free olive groves (olea europaea) along the fertile coastal areas of the Eastern Levantine Sea. Grown solely for our Aleppo soap, these olives give an oil of rare purity, cherished for its ability to nourish the skin.
Long esteemed in antiquity, laurel oil (Laurus nobilis) imparts Aleppo soap with a distinctive earthy-herbal character. Laurel oil is prized for its ability to cleanse without disrupting your skins natural balance.
Warm water opens the pores allowing for a deeper clean. This helps rid the skin of environmental impurities, xenoestrogens and other inflammatory agents.
Open pores also allows for deeper nourishment. Collagen synthesis, fat soluble vitamin deposition, antioxidant activity, oleocanthal activity, and pH restoration can all occur at deeper levels with open pores.
Cold water doesn't strip the lipids or microbiome like hot water can if the water is too hot or used too frequently.
With cold water your pores will be tight, & the soap will produce more of a moisturizing effect, creating a glassy/ youthful vibrancy.
Use warm water no more than once every 24hrs. Use cold water for everything in-between.
*Lye (NaOH) is the alkali used to saponify the oils. During saponification, the lye reacts completely with the oils to form soap. All lye is used in this reaction and none is present in the final soap bar.
